Durian Seminar in Bentong Brings Together Regional Expertise
Bentong, Pahang | 7 September 2026
Impact Agroscience Sdn Bhd hosted the IMPACT Durian Seminar at Bentong Wellness Resort, bringing together technical expertise and practical cultivation experience from Malaysia, Cambodia and Vietnam.
The seminar focused on four key areas: off-season durian production, early flowering techniques, fruit retention and practical orchard management. The programme connected research and product technology with field experience to help growers better understand how to manage durian trees at critical growth stages.
Alban from Olmix presented the company’s plant care technology, while Dr Thanh from SOFRI contributed research and technical perspectives. Savang and Vannara shared practical experience from Cambodia, followed by Lim Inn Yeow, Managing Director of Impact Agroscience, who discussed cultivation practices and challenges in Malaysia.
A central message of the seminar was the importance of adapting orchard management to tree condition, growth stage and environmental conditions. Achieving consistent flowering, retaining fruit and improving harvest quality requires coordinated decisions on nutrition, water management and plant health.
The programme also included a question-and-answer session, providing space to discuss cultivation challenges and the application of technical knowledge in the orchard.
Impact Agroscience extends its appreciation to Olmix, Zebra and SOFRI, as well as all speakers and participants, for supporting this regional exchange of knowledge.
Through technical education, field support and quality agricultural solutions, Impact Agroscience continues to help growers make more informed decisions and work towards more consistent productivity and fruit quality.
